Transgender Protection Cells

1. In accordance with Rule 11(5) in Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights), Rules, 2020, which states/UTs have set up a Transgender Protection Cell?

For States/UT that have not yet set up a Transgender Protection Cell, please provide any and all available compliance reports / status reports / responses to show cause notices that contain information or reasons concerning the delay in setting up a Transgender Protection Cell between the years 2021 - 2026. 

3. Out of the currently operational Transgender Protection Cells at District Level, provide a copy of the quarterly reviews submitted by the cells to the state in FY 2024-25 and in 2025-26.

Reply: States/UTs who have setup Transgender Protection Cells are: Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal.
